I'm probably the very last person to say my huge thank you to Eddie and Elaine for putting on a really brilliant week.  Everything was perfect amazing music, wall to wall sunshine and our accommodation was spot on.  

The organised events were fab and we met some great people and can't wait for next year. Great news about the Free tribute next year too it gets better and better. Sorry I was'nt there for '06 but definitely be making it three in a row with '09.

it's been a while now since we have been back but the memories live on. We felt 20 years younger in Rhodes but after all the rockin' and partyin' we now look 40 years older. Never mind, it was certainly worth it! 

The concerts were amazing and it was great to see the bands being so passionate about the whole thing. We certainly did not envy them, having to do a sound check at 40c in the blazing sun (while we were watching a bride stride to the little chapel to the tunes of John Campbell's star spangled banner, hilarious). 

It was also very nice to swim in St Paul's bay, listening to floyd's sound check. Bliss.

Lovely music, lovely people, lovely holiday.

And last, but not least a big thank you to you both for organising such a great holiday and all the staff that helped (and never slept) and all in Socrates Bar.

All we want to know now is when is Rhodes Rock 09? and when is the DVD coming out?

RhodesRock08 feels like a dim, distant, but very happy memory and I am definitely up for it all next year!

My first time in Rhodes and at one of your events so here is some feedback. Hope it is useful. 

I'm a Think Floyd follower, but I did enjoy the variety of the other bands. Lots of energy and talent displayed. I would be happy to see any of them again.

St Paul's Bay was a fabulous venue. Plenty of reasonably priced food and drink. 
Beach BBQ - great food and atmosphere.

Last Night Party. Very good vibe. Are You Experienced played a great set. 

My hotel - Atrium Palace - fantastic. I stay in 5 star hotels all round the world for my job and this is up there with the best of them. Friendly staff, great amenities and good service in the restaurants. 

So all in all, a great experience. Thank you for all your hard work! I'd definitely like to hear about next year please!!

My wife Eileen and I really enjoyed every part of RhodesRock08 and wouldn't change any of it ! 

I think it was planned and organised to perfection and we must thank you for giving us such a wonderful holiday. We never found the late nights a problem as we were on holiday and you can always catch up with your sleep on a sun bed the next day ! 

Once again , thanks for making RhodesRock08 so memorable and I wouldn't be surprised if we brought along a few friends next year as we enthused about the great time we had . Please keep us updated .

We had a brilliant time at rhodes rocks. the accomadation was fantastic, next 
to the beach. we were self catering and found the local shops really friendly 
and helpful, one man even gave us a lift up to the village.the extra events 
were perfect for us, the b.b.q. was literally a short walk from the apartment 
around the bay.we found the setting for the last night party really beautiful 
and nice to see so many local people joining in and enjoying the atmosphere.

as for the two main events, mind blowing, again the setting for the concerts 
were magical, what more could you want, warm greek night, live rock music and 
drink !!!!!! we were so taken by it all the lateness did'nt come into it.the 
bands coped very well with the technical problems and all sounded professional 
and brilliant. we enjoyed talking to the bands at socrates bar.

we hope next years event will include the four bands of this year (2008) as we 
enjoyed it so much.

we get married in april 2009 and have decided to delay our honeymoon by 7weeks 
so we can rock in rhodes. WHAT A HONEYMOON !!!!!!!!!! so please, please make 
sure we have rhodes 2009.

What can i say, but brilliant !!!! My hubby & I have been to Rhodes x 4, but never seen show- OMG what we have missed !!! Well we had a brill holiday- we arrived on my b/day (15th June), met up with old mates and had a party on that night. We got involved in a wedding reception, hired a car for 3 days- went everywhere and then we saw the POSTER !!!!

What a magical place to have a concert- we couldn't believe that we were on hol, in such a fantastic setting and listeneing to our FAVE music!! My faves were Letz Zep/ Hendrix- but equally enjoyed Floyd and Thin Lizzy.

I haven't danced for so long and sung my head off in sheer joy- What a gr8 concert- A BIG THANKYOU for organising this fab party- please, please could you email me the dates ASAP for 2009, so that I can enjoy my b/day again like this year.

PS. we left Pefkos in the early hours of Sunday 22nd June- but went passed concert on coach- Oh how I longed that we'd have a delay- so that we could enjoy the atmosphere again :)

It was our first time, and we had a ball. Not just at the shows, but the meetings and parties in between, meeting some great like-minded people, and finding out that there is far more to Rhodes than seeing bloody Faliraki on tv! Lindos was just our kind of town, and St Paul's Bay was a perfect place to recover from the shows, and Socrates bar each day.

Here's hoping you can pull it off again next year, and if so, put our names at the top of the list for joining you.

Had an absolutely FANTASTIC time out in Lindos at this years festival. The Friday was my birthday which made it even better, I was a little inebriated that day! Thoroughly enjoyed the gigs (Floyd in particular) and the parties and made some great new friends. Having seen Think Floyd several times before, I knew how good they were and it was great chatting to all the bands and in some cases their parents!! I shall definitely be doing it again!

I dont know if we met but, I thought Id write this after a good bottle of wine and, our safe return, having had a wonderful week with you in Lindos for Rhodes Rock 2008.

First, I would point out we weren't all 'rockers', my party of nine included younger and older people some of whom, knew little beforehand of what we actually went to see. As for myself, I consider myself a connoisseur of all things rock and roll and, the entire purpose of attending Rhodes Rock 2008 was to celebrate my 50th birthday. Rest assured, we were not disappointed.

We had a superb time, IN FACT SOME MEMORIES WILL LAST A LIFETIME and, I know being there, this marvellous festival will continue and I would love to think we can, and will, attend next year. 

WELCOME PARTY

An excellent night all in all, bar staff amazing.
As for the bands, atmosphere, and the bar - amazing - a wonderful evening and limehouse lizzy and Letz Zeppelin strove to make it a superb night overall - (which they did) and a delightful foretaste of what was to come. (amazing how they got a decent sound playing on a lawn ! )

THE GIGS

Amazing! - the best night of all was Friday (in my humble opinion)- all bands wonderful - interesting and innovative sets. good sound and a wonderful atmosphere - a great night -end of ! Think Floyds rendition of 'echoes' will be something I Personally will NEVER Forget ! 

AS FOR THE BANDS THEMSELVES

To be fair =- Letz zeppelin were the reason I turned up having seen them in Crewe in march, Think Floyd were as expected, amazing, - Are You Experienced wonderful and its not suprise why Limehouse Lizzy routinely book gigs two nights running in the UK. 

The personnel from these bands were, Wonderful, talented, always approachable people to a single man/lady , All willing to chat and engage as we saw them around the wonderful place that is Lindos. I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW WONDERFUL WE THOUGHT THE VENUE AND THE PEOPLE involved were. 

MONDAY BEACH BBQ

A simply amazing day at an amazing location -we all had a great time on the Pallas beach - we were located much nearer the entrance / exit than SKALA bar, even so we had a great time, great music, atmosphere and a great barbecue quality wise.

LAST NIGHT PARTY

In the little square near the old amphitheatre, such a pleasant surprise 'Are you experienced' totally excelled and gave me a new appreciation for Jimmy Hendrix's music even thought we'd seen him a couple of times already. That closed intimate set was Amazing in our opinion, wonderful to see so many people 'getting off' on the music even non Rhodes rockers who. appeared to be attracted to the music and crashed the party from the village.

Again another night we will never forget. ALL In all this was a wonderful experience. Suffice to say, overall we had a wonderful time and thank you for your efforts. I would have loved to have met you and give my feedback direct but-I chose to write after the event knowing how busy you were.

So - a final thank you for organising the event and thanks to all those wonderful talented people who made the music oh so wonderful and here's to Rhodes Rock 2009 - Id love to think we can be there and maybe even, bring a few more

Unfortunately I will be unable to go to Lindos in 2008 but I will definitely be there 2009-I sincerely hope that Rhodes Rocks will be staged in 2009. We are travelling from Scotland (Glasgow or Edinburgh airport) and would love a quote for a package including the Rhodes Rocks festival tickets as soon as you have prices available. Our ideal accommodation would be Lindos View/Lindos Gardens/Athena/Lindos Romanza.

Hi, Just a quick email to thank you for all your hard work in organising Rockfest 08!

I know many people will already have thanked you, both individually and collectively but on behalf of our group I also wanted to add our thanks for all your hard work.

We were accommodated in a Lindos Villa close to the Rainbird Bar and overlooking the main beach, so it was a real struggle to wake in the morning and look out over the beach! - also the Rainbird Bar was an excellent watering hole prior to the evenings out or for a light lunch - oh no not Greek salad again!!

On our first night someone said it would be a good idea to go to Socrates bar - I won't tell you what time we rolled out of there - but it was well into Thursday! what a place - excellent in all respects!

Of the four bands playing, all of our group where initially not that worried about Limehouse Lizzy or Are you Experienced, being avid Think Floyd followers as you know! also we are all Led Zep fans so really wanted to see Letz Zep.

I know I said to you Elaine, that I wasn't bothered if I didn't see Are you Experienced again (outside Socrates if you remember?) however watching him/them again on the Saturday and Tuesday in the amphi-theatre I have totally changed my opinion, John is an excellent guitar player and really does put on a good show.

We didn't stay for Limehouse on the Friday as it was too late for our tired members but seeing them on the Saturday shows that we missed a good band.

The rest of your planning was excellent - coloured wrist bands, beach party and final night at the amphi-theatre were all excellent - thank you.

Sorry Elaine that our chat outside Socrates was interrupted, and that I didn't get chance to continue at the amphi-theatre - but you and Eddie as expected, were very much in demand - and you have a right to enjoy yourselves as well rather than be pestered by us!

If you can face another year - bring on 2009! we shall be there!

This is just to say a big Thank You to you both for what you did for us regarding our trip to Lindos. Organising Kokki again and giving us official passes for the concerts was greatly appreciated. Thank you thank you for an absolutely fabulous holiday. We all gave it 15 out of 10. 

Brilliant! brilliant! and I have to say that we....and many more wish to book next year. The apartment was in a great location though, just minutes from the beach and the concert and the village. 

And here we are home, with gale force winds and constant rain......oh! take me back to Lindos!

Just wanted to say once again that we had a great time out in Lindos for our 2 weeks holiday. You both did an excellent job, and I can only say, from a personal point of view, it is very much appreciated.

I hope that you feel that you can continue with another next year - even though there is such a lot of work involved!!! You just look so wonderful in that green swimsuit, Eddie!! I have the photos to prove this!!

I heard from Alex and from George that you were thinking of doing things a bit differently next year, with 3 bands on each night, which does sound better.

Also, could you please consider the Bad Company tribute band - Free Spirit, please. Garry Barrett is an excellent singer and a true professional. Free Spirit do have a My Space website - which is www.myspace.com/freespirituk

I know it may be a bit early but are there any planned dates for a 2009 event? 
We enjoyed it so much this year we want to book for next year and have others interested as well. 

To ensure we get the leave days required we need to know the dates, if there are any?
